Dear international students, we prepared a quick summary of welcome events for the upcoming semester:
Faculty Tours: Tour to your faculty with the Buddy Coordinator, or some responsible person. They are going to take you to the International Office, where you will sign your Learning agreement and you will be enrolled in the system, then they will bring you to the Card Office where you will get your student card. They will also show you some interesting places there as a library, study room, place to eat etc.
Welcome Ceremony: Meeting where you will learn everything you need to know about the school and your semester in Ostrava, there will also be degustation, where you will have the chance to try some Czech cuisine.

Welcome Party: First party in campus bar, where we will have some activities to make you meet new people.
City Centre Tour: Tour in the centre of Ostrava city with some interesting places to see and eat.
Flea Market: Market full of old stuff that we gathered from the former exchange students. And remember, we have better prices than IKEA.
Sightseeing game - Poruba: Easy way how to learn more about campus and the part of Ostrava that is gonna be the closest for you. We will show you interesting places in Poruba by funny game.
Bank accounts opening: Possibility to open the Czech bank account with no monthly fees.
Outside Pool: A relaxing day spent on the local outside pool located close to the campus.
Walk to Halda Ema: Last activity of the Orientation Days should be some sport activity, and we chose to show you the highest place in Ostrava to see the beauty of the city from the higher ground.
