For our next hike, we’re heading to Smrk, the second-highest peak in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy (after Lysá hora) ⛰️ This route is one of the steeper and more demanding ones, and since there’s no mountain hut at the top, you’ll need to bring enough food and snacks for the whole day.
At the summit, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a peaceful forest and a calm atmosphere. Close to the top, there are also two small memorial mounds, including one dedicated to John Lennon — an unusual but iconic landmark on this mountain 🎸
Smrk is especially beautiful when it’s covered in snow, giving the whole place a quiet, almost magical feel ❄️ Because of the conditions, please make sure to bring some warm layers and good shoes so you stay comfortable throughout the hike.
The climb may be tough, but the views, nature, and unique spots along the way make it absolutely worth it.
